ListManager 6.x and higher enables you to create three different virtual domains for the lists you manage. The site names that you specify are often used to identify the mail you send to your list members (e.g., a weekly message from listname@yoursitename.com).

Virtual domains also provide an additional level of security; for example, a site for a marketing department could have separate administrative controls from a site for an engineering department.

Additional Virtual domains option

If you need additional virtual domains for special uses — for example, product branding, corporate divisions, etc. — we offer an extra-cost option that allows you to create up to ten (10) virtual domains. You can specify this option on our various price calculators and the online order form.

Agency Option

If your business requires an unlimited number of ListManager virtual domains, we recommend the Agency Option. This alternative allows you to use your ListManager license to run a commercial list hosting service or ASP. It includes four key features:

1. Rebrandable web interface and administrative messages. Replace "Lyris" and "ListManager" with your own company and service brand names.

    

2. Unlimited ListManager virtual domains to provide customers with unique domains. Gives your hosting customers the ability to create their own new lists, and provides them with all of the features of a "virtual" dedicated server.

    

3. The Lyris Billing Utility for monitoring customer usage and generating invoices.

    

4. The right to use your ListManager license for a commercial list hosting service.
